Our Firm’s History

Butler, Williams & Wyche was founded in Macon, GA, in 1931 and we’ve spent decades partnering with Central Georgia’s business owners and independent professionals to provide comprehensive accounting solutions.

Our founders, Brooks Geoghegan and Al Norris, each served as president of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Together, they addressed the need for accessible and exceptional accounting services in Macon by creating a dedicated firm that was built for growth.

Originally located in Downtown Macon’s Southern Trust Building, our firm helped renovate Downtown Macon’s Whittle Building, the city’s oldest existing elementary school building. We served clients in that location from the 1980s to 2021, when we transitioned to our current Macon office on Riverside Drive. We opened our Warner Robins office on Margie Drive in 2015 to provide even more personalized service to our Houston County clients.
